Along with the ICAN commitment to the immediate goal of assisting charities and non profit groups in their work to defeat hunger and help the needy coast to coast, one of our other mission statements is to try and stamp out one of the many faces of poverty by promoting education through our free computer centre . Through our Community Computer Centre , we can help year round at no charge, students, seniors, single Moms and Dads, the unemployed, etc. gain the confidence to operate programs, email and search the internet and learn new skills that will assist in many ways for securing a more positive future.

Thanks to the generosity of all the compassionate people for their donations of Global Learning System's professionally developed computer based training courses-Courseware and Direct Energy Consumers Gas for donating computers.

Our first free flagship Community Computer Centre opened in July 2003 and is helping people to learn new skills as well as upgrade existing skills. Without the volunteer hours and these donations all this would not have been possible.

We need your help with our Adopt a Centre Program by way of your donations.

How does this program work?

With your help, we can open more Community Computer Centres. Please be part of the solution. Our goal is 1000 such centres across Canada with 10 more in the GTA. For example with a donation of $10.00 we can provide the internet to 3 people per day. A donation of $25.00 will run a centre for an hour. During an 11 hour day, an average of 80 people use our flagship centre. With your help, we can continue to provide this service without charge.
